Story behind the name
George Ripley is one of the best known English alchemists of whom, as is so often the case, much of his life is hidden in mythology. He has written extensively on alchemy and the Philosopher's Stone. Given that Ripley was always searching for the "right and perfect way" to make his Philosopher's Stone, the strawberry is a beautiful symbol of his and our own search.
