Using pure ingredients, we make artisanal, natural beverages without additives.
Alchymiae
was born as a hobby of two brothers, Ruben and Wim, from the border region of Hageland and Haspengouw. Together with Nelia, Karen, Freya, Morrigan, 4 cats and 2 dogs, they form the foundation of our community.
Our journey
began in our own garden, with fruit and vegetables, pure and untreated. We were brought up with a love for natural ingredients, where taste and quality were key. After the harvest we noticed that a lot of fruit was left on the trees.
In our search for new flavours, we also came across lost gems. We want to create new and unique flavour combinations with this forgotten fruit.
Despite the fact that there are plenty of blossoms in the fruit region, the number of pollinators has been declining for years. This inspired us to become beekeepers and work with honey. Driven by our historical interest, we chose mead, a lesser-known drink in Belgium. After many experiments, we decided to share our meads with you, our community.
The next stage brought us to the distilling course. It soon became clear that we wanted more than just hobby distilling. We are driven to share our passion (and want to comply with the law), so we started an official distillery.
Currently
we stand at the beginning of a new chapter in our journey. Together with our local producers, we are bringing quality and unique taste sensations to you. Together with you, we are looking for the best flavour combinations. This way, we form one big community.
The first enthusiastic travel companions have been found. By introducing you to the unique results of our collaboration with local producers, we form a bridge between producer and consumer.
Creating community is the thread that runs through almost everything we do, whether it's about family, leisure or our professional careers, which is why we want to expand our community. We are looking for more travel companions to join us in exploring, experimenting and discovering, with whom we can share new experiences and knowledge.
